Russell is an accomplished lawyer with a diverse legal background and both large law firm and corporate in-house experience. He has a reputation for outstanding communication and negotiation skills. Russell has extensive experience negotiating contracts and managing large real estate transactions - including joint ventures, mixed-use projects, multifamily apartment acquisitions and dispositions, and raw land purchases – and representing HOAs, condo associations, and property management companies.Prior to founding Woodward & Woodward with his wife, Danae, Russell defended medical malpractice actions at Anderson, Coe & King in Baltimore, helped clients buy, sell, and refinance commercial real estate at Kennedy Covington Lobdell & Hickman in Charlotte, and devoted 9 years as an in-house counsel for a publicly-traded residential homebuilder and a multifamily property owner and manager.
